Zcash Community Grants (ZCG) is inviting a team of 2–3 individuals to represent Zcash at DWeb Camp in Berlin July 8-12. This is an opportunity to engage with aligned communities, share Zcash’s work, and build meaningful connections in the decentralized web ecosystem.
ZCG will cover approved expenses for selected participants, including travel, event tickets, and accommodation.
ZCG will also consider up to 3 individual applicants who are not part of a pre-formed group.
Deadline
Please submit your application by Monday, May 4th.
This is VERY exciting for me to see. DWeb Camp is an event and community that is very close to my heart.
Zk Av Club would not exist, not in concept nor practice, without DWeb Camp. Full stop.
I’ve been going to DWeb Camp since the very first one in California and it has changed my life completely, for the best. It’s where the club was born and where we did our first in-person experiments that led us to the Recording Station.
I encourage everyone to try to make it to Berlin for this.
Here’s the thread where Zk Av Club is tracking our activities and announcements regarding camp and Berlin Blockchain Week this year:
DWeb Camp is exactly the crowd that would get Zcash without needing the pitch. Decentralized web builders already think in terms of user sovereignty and protocol neutrality. Strong venue for wallet demos and ZSA conversations.
I keep hearing about DWeb camp, from entirely different people in different social circles! This seems like an awesome opportunity to bond over a week with builders plus the real movers and shakers in the web3 space. From a Toronto friend, to scrappy builders of ETHDenver and even at ETHCC Cannes, people are talking about DWeb. It seems like the place to be this summer.
I’ve been to regional burns (think Burning man, but smaller and in the woods) which was fun and created lasting friendships, but adding the decentralized web3 theme, privacy, coders and builders, this event sounds epic. @fabacab and I are definitely interested in attending.
If you want to know more about DWeb, and how it’s different than Web3, here’s a good article by Mai Ishikawa Sutton about that:
I think this is important to read this in order to understand the DWeb community and the people who contribute there. IMO this should weigh into the very difficult decision that ZCG is making.

Also worth mentioning here: Zk Av Club will cover ticket, camping, and food costs (everything except travel) for anyone who is volunteering at the Recording Station or recording stages with us at DWeb Camp this summer. DM me.
