I have just setup Ubuntu for my 12 GPU 1060 rigs, but I can’t find the way to control the fan. Anyone has ideas on this? Thank you.
You have to enable coolbits (e.g. Option "Coolbits" "28") in xorg.conf along with either setting up fake monitors and point the respective devices to an edid.bin file (that’s what I used) or (by other accounts) simply adding Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration" "true" to each of the Device sections in xorg.conf might suffice.
