Nice, from article
The cardinal rule on Wall Street is to always keep client and bank positions secret so competitors can’t profit from knowing about existing trades.By using the encryption provided by zero-knowledge proofs, the blockchain that supports Zcash offers the option for a user’s identity and the amount of money being sent to remain hidden. That degree of privacy is currently unavailable on ethereum.
Well, Monero encrypts stealth addresses in pretty much the same way as Zcash encrypts notes (but Monero encrypts only the addresses that way; the amounts are kept private in RingCT by different means). What’s hilarious to me considering the noise fluffypony was making, is that cryptographically the encryption schemes are practically the same: half-ephemeral Diffie Hellman-based key-private encryption. The important differences are in other parts of the protocols.
So what is the deal with XMR these days Is there solid proof / evidence that its transactions are traceable? I think the demand for throughly vetted crypt0 is only going to increase as governments / evil actors get more savvy at spying on things. Its only a matter of time before people realize the true magic of zk-Snarks compared to Ring-CT.
Their mindset is pretty clear and I wouldn’t expect anything to change writing to the moderators of that subreddit.
I wouldn’t even know where to start, I mean, the simple fact that they need to “sh*t” on other coins to prove something just to feel good or whatsoever makes me feel so sad for them.
I feel strong unhealthy competition from their writings… they just can’t see the big picture:
we all should be cheering eachother and make pride of what is good and concerns on what is not.

It’s always interesting to me that many projects get forked and the new dev team adds some interesting features. Example: Zen adding TLS and the whole ‘secure node’ system.
It would be nice to see the core teams incorporate the odd good idea back into the original project. Seems it could be beneficial if teams borrowed from each others work instead of one always leaching from the other.
I’m not saying this specifically about the zcash dev team as we all understand the work they are doing is important and taking all of their effort to do it. Just in general.
I just linked my Facebook group ZCASH ONLY (Mining & News) to thus thread.
We do not tolerate FUD in our group and we encourage other serious Zcashers to join us to share news and helping support new miners who have questions about their rigs as well as pool dominate with our larger users to increase the luck on a pool or choice.
At the moment we are currently evaluating Slush Pool with a collective of 1.5 Msol.
We remove pool flippers and focus on constructively debating luck, profits, and all Zcash matters pertaining to pool mining as well as solo mining in the case of a few of our members.
I will report back here if I see anything really stupid, but for now the worst we see is people who abuse block finding times to manipulate a easy reward, know as pool flipping or pool hoping.
