Can disabledeprecation be specified in zcash.conf, or must it be a flag when running the daemon?

only on the command line so far as I know

disabledeprecation=1.0.9

I recall that the above worked in both my tested zcash.conf and hush.conf nodes, before they were upgraded to the latest releases ?

It can be either in zcash.conf or on the command line. The only flags that can’t be in zcash.conf are those affecting the location that zcash.conf is loaded from.
