ECC team leaves ECC

Extremely poorly handled. Just enough comms to smear everything into the mud and none about actually providing clarity.

It appears from the outside that the comms was designed to create commotion first, revolt second.

Personally disappointed about this on the parties involved, especially @joshs.

It’s important not to lose security@z.cash email monitoring during the transition, too.

Indeed, it is extremely difficult for me to imagine a situation where sociable and kind people who have known each other for years cannot find a compromise solution. And then these people are smeared with mud on Twitter, so that influential people are forced to defend them. It’s an extremely absurd situation.

A conflict in which it is impossible to choose sides simply because of respect for each side. Please, just do what needs to be done without creating unpleasant aftertastes.

By the way, this news has been on the front page of Russia’s most popular business news tabloid for 17 hours now (translated to English).

The indicators show that yesterday many retail investors sold their coins out of fear.

The current level of responsibility at Zcash has become more significant, and no one will look into the details, only what we present first. “The entire Zcash team has left — a fork is possible.”

Will they write later that the team has returned under a new name? I’m not sure, unless the price also goes up 20%.

But anyway, for now, this will remain in the news history under the #Zcash tag.

Since we now have three threads regarding this I will archive this one and direct users to reply/ request/ respond to the former ECC team in Josh’s new thread:
