@bdiddle don’t think so…
I’ve got Win10 (new build) Celeron on 1151 cpu mining (2.7 sol/s) and at the same time 4RX4 cards doing over 30
Now I’m having these “typewriter effect” on Celeron on 1150 Win10 (old build) … weird…

0.4.1 miner starts OK (thanks, Genoil!), but then:

resolve: no such host known [when using us1-zcash-flypool.org:3333]
reconnecting in 5 sec

this message repeats over and over, never connecting.
name of the pool is correct, so what could be the problem?
is it possible to connect to both ethermine and flypool from the same IP, since it is basically the same crew?

I was running on the Nicehash network (lease power) for ZEC and I was only seeing 150 Sols/s going out. On the Genoil 0.4.1 (Suprnova) all three rigs I am now seeing 215 Sols/s combined. All three rigs are still hashing away, without anything blowing up thus far, so I would say that the Genoil 0.4.1 is now the “base” software from which to start.

Win 7 2 x R9 380s AMD 16.9.2
Win 7 1 x R9 390 and 1 x R9 290 AMD 16.9.2
Win 8.1 x 4 x R9 290s and 1 x R9 290x AMD 16.9.2

To be honest, unless you are leasing your power out to Nicehash, none of the pools have been problem-free since Day-1. Suprnova still is having other issues on the pool website, but at least now the miners are not constantly being rejected or downed.

You have a link to genoil 0.4.2? I only see 0.4.1 on his github

Sorry I mean 0.4.1 Not 0.4.2

I have tried so many different programs that now all the versions are bunched together in my head.

Downgraded drivers worked. Any idea why I get 0.0 sol/s after a while ?

Do you have it like this: genoil.exe -c us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333

in win 7 64 b with 7950 cards tahiti i have 0.0s/s too :frowning:
in wiin 10 64b with rx480 cards (x5) 26s/s because cpu can’t handle with all cards ang go to 100%.

For the moment good work Genoil and GL with new updates

Guess it wasn’t a good idea to buy a shity celeron.

@Genoil If I have five cards on a rig do I still use -k zec zec ?? I know, probably a really stupid question. Thx

Edit: Never mind, I found the post where it means two thread “per” gpu, Sorry

AMD in my case.

And i don’t think it’s a problem, this miner versions are alpha or beta need improbements, optimizations…

nice progress, with 041 it work, but still unstable, using 470 nitro 8gb and 470 oc 4gb, sometimes got 0 for random card, maybe because modded bios for eth and downclock downvoltage, but if work normal it will give me around 140 (genoil) vs 85 (nheq), when reset clock and voltage to deafult in watttool only give me radeon driver stopped warning.

470 oc 4gb 5pcs on m6e+g3220+4gb give me around 140 (nheq give me 85 here)
470 nitro 8gb 6pcs on h61del+g630+4gb only give me around 100-130 and watt meter give me unresponsive watt meter, when change to ampere meter it shown fluctuated number, from 2.2 can jump to 3.5 (nheq give me 102 here), already tried reduce gpu to 3pcs and only give 60-80, tried 2 genoil 3pcs and 3pcs also give same result

and when first start system become very very laggy

anyone have explanation why 5 give me 140 and 6 give me 100-130?, any solution for this problem?

is updated driver really needed?, still using 16.9.2

back to nheq for now, will try again tomorrow, great job genoil.

thanks.

Makes sense.

My 295x2 with i3 4170 is around 38-40s/s each
295x2 with fx4130 only ~30s/s each.

yeah,
stupid typo: had dash between zcash and flypool instead of period.

thanks, man, for just showing it one more time.
107-111S/s on four RX 470 cards with one pentium CPU

Interestigly, rig uses 200 less watts than on ethereum (544 vs 744)

Wattman is the amd drivers overclocker

Holy … I read about some talks 1070 gtx being able to dish out 133 sol/s … guess there is a lot of room for optimizations.

from where u read that?can u share
