I have submitted a Zcash Community Grants application for the Shielded ZEC Privacy and Trust Architecture Framework.

The project will create a public framework for evaluating how shielded ZEC application designs distribute trust across users, application providers, wallets, infrastructure services, and regulated off-ramps.
It will compare browser-local, provider-assisted, and off-ramp-coordinated architectures and produce:

A privacy and trust architecture specification
-
A trust-boundary matrix
-
Data-flow and control-flow diagrams
-
An attorney-reviewed U.S. legal issue map
The goal is to move beyond broad labels such as “noncustodial” and document who can access information, influence transactions, control third-party relationships, or prevent users from independently verifying and completing an action.
