The api looks nice, how often can I request prices via a script. - I am only looking at xmr, btc, zec, eth and ethclassic. - there is no mention in the API docs.

An API guide is written for those services that want to join, so you won’t find it there. The exchanger decides such things as limits of requests.
You can request prices as often as the exchanger allows. Most instant exchange services have a formal restriction and protection against a series of spam requests.
