Wow…I wish I could afford that many. I’m wondering if I should sell my GPU’s and buy more Z9’s, but I’ll probably wait and see if Bitcoin Gold and Zencash fork successfully.
I have not spent a single Zec since GPU pricing for 1080ti’s went above USD $850.00, I refused to.
And looking at the price, I am buying thirteen 1080 ti’s for the price of two (todays pricing). Even with expected difficulty increase I expect a ROI of 75 to 95 days.
I am waiting until June to see what the other EquiHash coins (FIRM) plans are. It’s already been said what two of the Equihash coins firm plans are so and I will decide on the additional Z9’s then. Those that fork, I will point my GPU’s to them if the power cost to H/s is not there for them on Zcash, no matter what I will still mine within $$ +/- 10% of what I am now.
Makes sense, the main benefit of GPU mining is flexibility & I’m not prepared to surrender that.
I’ve started adding AMD cards, I’ve been exclusively Equihash/Nvidia up to now but times are changing.
The fact remains that ASICS are worthless but at this time its not the battle we need to win, its the war and its between the old financial system and the new, bitmain doesnt matter, innosilicon doesnt matter, its the people that matter, if we fight on these issues maybe the government themselves will aid in the ASIC making to make everything centralized but the way i see it they are scared shitless because their financial system is no longer taking the control from people because of this financial revolution
Bitmain is becoming less of an issue as they open offices and mining facilities in the US. Of course I’m assuming this will some how reign in some of their less appealing practices as they also expand into Canada as neither country would be all that forgiving on predatory practices. In my book this is good news, and hopefully will encourage other players to enter the space as the playing field levels out.
I have none, and never plan to buy one. However, my Vietnam government going to ban ASIC equipment… like Venezuela soon
@noobvie Do you have a link to the proposed ban? How likely is it to be implemented?
The Vietnam bankers finished the proposal to suspend the import of ASIC equipment. They did not clearly say when but I think so soon. The $VND inflation going up so fast, now 1USD ~ 23000 VND, they’re scared of people investing in crypto.
(you could use google translate).
Governments are scared their financial system is at stake, dont know whats gonna happen in G20 as well.
So Vietnam is going to ban mining equipment even though the scam itself was about an ICO.
As cryptocurrency is illegal in Vietnam I’m sure someone was being paid off during the months this scam was being ran. Now that the bribe $$$ has stopped they want to punish others!
Thats what governments do these days
