Raising fees won’t magically reduce the amount of transaction. However, there’s already a ZIP draft on this specific matter.
The transaction numbers aren’t horribly inflated. It’s the weight of each transaction that is causing the issue. I’ve seen the ZIP. I’m encouraging them to get this done ASAP.

Network usability is in an existential crisis moment because of this ongoing, unmitigated transaction spam.
