I’ve been thinking quite a bit about Zcash’s resurgence lately, as well as the success of privacy focused products in general.
I think the biggest thing driving this newfound wave of Zcash support, is the fact that you can actually use it now. Look on Twitter where Solana/crypto KOLs are saying, “well, how do I use it?”
First response is always “download Zashi, bridge with near intents”
Having an easy product that people can interact with strengthens and solidifies the brand.
I look at Zashi apps through the lens of:
- Great mobile app
- Cold storage
- Flexa integration (although I’ve never tried)
- Onramps (near, coinbase)
I’m wondering what the next killer feature/app that Zashi should support. For example, I’ve been using Payy card as my everyday debit card. I allegedly get paid in cryptocurrencies, so the ability to swap/take a loan for USDC, and then leverage it in a private network, is absolutely huge. The fact that the card let’s me pay anywhere in the world is also a massive win for me.
Personally, a Zashi feature that allows me to spend ZEC anywhere with a debit card would be amazing. Or, a feature that allows me to swap ZEC for a private stablecoin and spend that anywhere would also be huge.
