Cancelling this grant
I’m cancelling this grant. Nothing was ever paid out, and the production costs so far came out of my own pocket.
Over the past few months I’ve come to believe the Dev Fund is bad for Zcash. I have just published an essay making that case, and I will be arguing that side at Zcon7 in October. It seemed wrong to make the argument while holding a grant.
This isn’t about ZCG or anyone on it. I’m really thankful for their trust and think highly of all members on the committee. My disagreement is really just with the mechanism, not the people.
The good news is that I will keep making podcasts and videos regardless of the grant! Thanks for all the feedback throughout, and please don’t hesitate to reach if you ever have any in the future.
