@pips i was very sceptable of @zcminer-dev his miner expecially after github disabled his repo
now i did pull in both versions and i put up some heavy firewalling, filesystem analyzer, etc and so far i did not find any hint of changed files, rootkits, etc. So it looks clean, but only runs in Linux and sadly NVidia has borked up overclocking. The firewall is reporting just the expected connections (in my case suprnova pool and flypool , which is the preferred start pool from @zcminer-dev)
Now that said, i am getting a near 49.xx/S mining with this minder instead of a 26 (non overclocked) and a 36H/s overclocked in windows. Likely when overclocking you can reach the 60H/s … so in my case i will need to wait till the Windows version.
There is a bug when starting up and the flypool is busy. You cannot CTRL-C to kill the process until its connected. You can only kill after you get the 'dev-fee | Subscribed to stratum server ’ message. This is kinda annoying.
i wonder, they said it gave 50 sol/s but have high cpu usage (after “fix” you get less than 30) so it was only gpu/cpu miner but mining cpu silent? and 10% for a dev …
To zcminer-dev. If you really want to make a windows version and earn more coins you can contact the team of http://cryptomining-blog.com. Then said “The zcminer-dev/zcminer repository has been disabled for potentially violating GitHub’s Terms of Service. If you can get in touch with the owner of the repo and ask them to get in contact with us, we may be able to help them solve this problem.”
Have anybody succeded to download and try this shady miner? The way its distributed makes me think there is something wrong with it. Dev is got to be withholding something.
