Make sure you use the correct executable. nheqminer for nicehash and nheqminer_zcash for zcash pool.

You can mine without a worker.
Immature is fine; you just need to wait a bit for coins to mature, then these would be confirmed and eventually paid out to you.
Make sure you have all files that are in zip archive and you didn’t miss some.

Yes, and relative paths need to be the same, so if you are launching nheqminer from certain other working dir, you need to move zcash folder there too.
