I have heard from an influencer that Monero works best in conjunction with the Anom phone.
Damn criminals, always one step ahead ![]()
And then proceeds to politely explain why.
On the Zcash community side, what do we have?
Useless snark.
I’m glad some of them are laughing at us, we deserve it.
In brilliant jokes and your reasoning above, there’s a hint of suppressed resentment toward all the criminals for their foolishness in using Monero instead of Zcash. But I don’t think there’s much basis for this resentment, as there’s an objective reason: Zcash, unfortunately, is still completely unsuitable for anonymous transactions over $1,000, and out of desperation, every riffraff has to resort to the leaky Monero. However, I hope the situation will start to change in the future
Small compilation (5 min research) of Monero community members talking on X about some alleged backdoors, feds and something about Israel.
Very mature community with valid arguments - obviously.
Ahaha, look mummy, they screenshot my post! ![]()
Let’s just raise the bar ![]()
Some of them might be even posting in this thread here ![]()
Don’t mix chalk and cheese. Funny pictures are a Twitter format, and they fit there organically. Nothing stops you from posting just as many about Monero. I’m sure that’s exactly what should be done.
Now, because of that, we’re not supposed to publicly discuss problems and questions anywhere?
Do you want this place to have only posts like “Monero sucks” and “Zcash is awesome”?

I never said that, do not put words in my mouth. In fact, I already criticized Zcash for its current governance. This is why I am a supporter of the current push towards coin holder voting.
And if you think those “Funny pictures” are constructive critic or good marketing, so be it. I think otherwise, I think it is just cringe.
Constructive critic is what I’m doing. By the way, after my post, they updated the BTCPayServer repo page. They removed the dumb texts. Maybe the technical stuff will improve too – and that would be really awesome!
Funny pictures are a different story. And yeah, they 100% work for a certain audience.
There’s something slippery about the reasoning here.
How can we know that something in the past “Was a mistake.”
The reasonable approach to the past is to acknowledge that it’s impossible to know “why” things flowed as they did.
Science is great! It explains what causes things!
That’s amazing, but it’s only generalizeable to that corner of the universe, where we can isolate and reproduce potential causes.
Billiards, is very tractable to causal analysis, where we can approximate “the cause” of an outcome.
History.. not so much.
Here’s a story:
Every decision made by every Zcasher since the launch of Zcash was the absolute optimal decision that could have been made.
You might disagree, but what you’re disagreeing with is.. just a story.
History != Science
Given that context, the less general an observation about a past experience is, the less likely it is to be inaccurate.
What on earth am I reading here.
The sad truth is that in the Zcash community nobody really cares about Monero.
Why would they? Better tech, better community, better future.
The disturbing part is why Monero users are morbidly obsessed with Zcash, fudding it almost like it was their day job. How deep does the rabbit hole really go?
Because it has been one of the worst performing coins in all the space. Due to that now we are trying to go back to a dev fund to continue operations when everyone overwhelmingly was against it just a few months back.
That is how we know. This is not a new project it has been around almost a decade. Any tech startup that had the abysmal returns that zec had would have been out of business by now.
No offense but I keep seeing this idealistic thinking. “oh we are in the right” “our goal is a good goal and we will accomplish it” " privacy for all is good we are in the right"
Yet by any metric this is so far a failed project doomed by this thinking and by bad decisions due to this idea that because that zecs goal is for the good of humanity it will succeed.
That is not how real life works.
Just because you think you are in the right doesnt mean you are. The market is telling you that what you are doing doesnt work and for 10 years you continue to do the same thing.
I think Monero is interesting!
You don’t seem to respond to my argument.
It’s just on that multi year bottom unlike other alts
. A science coin for protocol in the future. The rest is platos cave and recursive larp
I think this is why some of the OG devs left but agree the pompous ass mindshare is not a good look yet still continues.
It could have interested me too, but unfortunately Monero gives me very creepy vibes, of the same kind that Bitcoin has given me lately. They both seem to have the same fingerprints all over them.
Despite what we are being force-fed, no, BTC won’t be the only crypto and Monero won’t be the only crypto with privacy. That’s too bad, 1 or 2 cryptos are so much easier to control than 100’s of them.
What were you trying to say? Not sure if you were being sarcastic or serious.
Because you have none. Your argument is that Zec is where its at in a good place beucase of all the decisions made before and those decisions led to us in the here and now.
Newsflash. Zec is not in a good place because it is running out of money for development and the people running it now need the dev fund back.
All the decisions that came before it led us into this horrible place where we are running out of money for the project and it is one of the worst performing coins in its 10 year history.
