Shielded Labs, Project Tachyon, ZODL, Zcash Foundation, and Valar Group have discussed this and are aligned on February 2031, as we think it’s the most conservative interpretation of the results.
Choosing 2031 also doesn’t prevent us from revisiting the question later. If circumstances change and there’s a good reason to begin recirculating the ZEC earlier, we can always run another poll and reconsider the timeline at that point.
