Hey Zcash community :waving_hand:

I’m excited to share my grant proposal for a 2-month content project designed to amplify Zcash’s core values through simple, engaging storytelling on X (Twitter).

I’m Jays, aka zk/acc — a strategic content creator currently working with Mina Protocol, focused on privacy-first narratives and ZK ecosystems.

Over the past few months, I’ve started creating Zcash-related posts and felt the urgent need for consistent, accessible, high-context content about the project. Most of what we see today is either highly technical or meme-based — but we’re missing a clear, narrative-driven voice.

:hammer_and_wrench: What I’m proposing:

  • 8 threads or long-form posts on Zcash fundamentals (history, privacy, ZK tech, values)
  • 20+ micro-posts (quotes, hooks, ZK reflections, callouts)
  • 4–6 visual assets (stylized reminders, quote graphics, digestible formats)
  • Delivered natively on X as @zkjays / zk/acc

All focused on:

  • Translating complex ideas with clarity
  • Building a narrative tone around Zcash
  • Reaching new users who care about digital freedom

:puzzle_piece: Why this matters

Zcash is technically strong but educational & accessible content is less on X.
This grant aims to build a human bridge — by turning our values into shareable content that resonates and spreads.

The idea is not just to “educate”, but to make Zcash culturally loud again. Accessible. Sticky. Memorable.

:money_with_wings: Grant ask: $4,100 USD

Split in 2 milestones:

  • $1,000 → to start and deliver 2 threads + micro-posts
  • $3,100 → to scale the full 2-month plan (6 more threads + all deliverables)

I’m solo, independent, and I already live and breathe ZK culture.
I know how to speak the native language of X, and how to turn privacy into something emotional, not just technical.

Let me know your thoughts — I’m open to questions, suggestions, or feedback before ZCG reviews it.

  1. Aren’t people pushing successful content on Twitter being financially compensated for it already?

  2. Buying ZEC and making it successful by spreading the gospel is a good way to get compensated for the time spent once the value increases.

Thanks for sharing your view, let me respond to both points:

Some are. But most aren’t especially when it comes to educational content, not memes or shitposts.
And Zcash doesn’t have many creators consistently delivering clarity, storytelling, or onboarding materials.
This grant is not about random tweets it’s structured, measurable, and focused on impact.

:red_question_mark:“Why not just buy ZEC and be rewarded when the value rises?”

That logic works if you assume price = value.
But without content, Zcash risks being invisible.
Buying ZEC is an investment. This proposal is work hours of research, writing, designing, and amplifying.
Builders need support now, not just “maybe one day” if price goes up.

I’m here for the long term just trying to make the message sharper.

Whether I get funded or not, I’ll keep sharing and supporting ZEC — that’s not a question.
But the truth is: building consistently, with care and clarity, takes time and energy.
If there’s a chance to turn passion into real work, why not make it sustainable?

Absolutely. Other people will see things differently that I do and your proposal may absolutely pass.

Personally, I think we need to get out of the CT sphere. It’s fine as an addon, but not as the sole target. For example you could make a talk and spread the Zcash gospel somewhere with real humans, maybe at a crypto conference, a privacy conference, or anywhere where you believe it would have an impact; have it recorded for our enjoyment here and I’ll personally have a lot more interest in the proposal.

I also plan to host ZCash culture workshops and invite people from the ZCash ecosystem regularly. I didn’t include this in the proposal because I haven’t yet found a time for us to meet, but it could also be interesting.

For physical events, I have some personal constraints that still allow me to travel for conferences, but when that becomes possible, I’ll offer some in-person events.
