I’m confused, first I saw the reward was 50, now I’m seeing info about a slow start period amount up to 12.5. So is 50 out of the window or what?
50 coins every 10 mins total is still accurate, but the block times are every 2.5 mins with a reward of 12.5 ZEC per block. So 12.5 x 4 = 50

To elaborate on what @Shawn said/the link says about the “slow start” in the first month. The slow start is going to give an average of n/34 * 12.5 ZEC per block on the given day, (n = days Z cash has been out [n < 35] ). Basically you won’t see full rewards until the 34th day.
