B. PARTNERSHIP AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY
We would like to share our insights on why we wanted to work and collaborate with ZCash:
- What you’re building and why you’re building on ZCash?**
- We are upskilling senior students and those who are fresh graduates from university partners that we currently have in order to build a solid and steady supply of Web3 developers and talents through our technology and business incubator, internship program and bootcamp in partnership with government and industry partners. ZCashis one of the protocols that are being used by a growing number of projects and companies to build their dApps, it also happens to be one of the popular blockchain that students from our university partners are aware of but don’t know how to develop or build something yet. We want to take this opportunity to educate and teach students practical application of ZCash within their universities by guiding and mentoring them on how they can use it to develop dApps and other solutions that can help their universities and later on provide more impact.
- Your budget proposal (how will the funds be helpful!)?**
- If given the chance to receive grants from ZCash Foundation, we will utilize it to further amplify the popularity of ZCash in the Philippines among the university and industry partners that we have.
- Based on our financial analysis, if we have $200,000, these will cover all activities and operations for the whole Y1.
- This budget will allow us to scale our team, develop programs further and provide us a big marketing push to further the reach of ZCash in all of the Philippine regions.
- This budget will also allow us to generate >$300,000 in profits in Y1 which will give us room for free cash flow that we can use for Y2 onwards and achieve sustainability.
- What measurable milestones are you planning for as part of your idea?**
- We are targeting to produce 15 to 30 ZCash Developers, ZCash Business Developers and ZCash Certified Talents per month.
- We are targeting to deploy 3 - 5 ZCash Developers, ZCash Business Developers and ZCash Certified Talents for employment per month.
- We will be conducting 3 to 5 ZCash-focused hackathons every quarter.
- We will be launching 3 to 5 series of university tours, seminars, webinars, workshops such as Train-the-Trainers for ZCash hands-on development per month.
- We will be offering ZCash-focused development and solutions to mSMEs in the Philippines.
- We will work with university partners to embed ZCash into their existing curriculums / syllabus to be offered in schools as elective or short courses or even part of a new discipline.
Our Ask:
$200,000 of grants for scaling the team, developing further ZCash-focused programs, and community and marketing push solely intended for ZCash.
Terms:
- Milestone base grant releases
- Report: Monthly reporting of the activities with university, government and industry partners with financial disclosure.
Sustainability Plan:
We aim to use the grants to make a stable source of revenue to sustain the operations of the company and refuel funds to further the operations, scale further and pay-it-forward to the community. Detailed utilization is shown in our financial model and analysis.
C. BUSINESS TRACTION AND GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY
Since we launched The BLOKC last November 28, 2022, we’ve already reached these milestones:
- 50 Blokcmates enrolled and part of our programs for Web3
- Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) signed an agreement with formal and public signing in January 2023.
- LPU onboarded The BLOKC as Industry Partner Advisor
- Technological University of the Philippines signed an agreement with formal public signing in January 2023.
- New Era University signed an agreement with formal public signing in January 2023.
- New Era University onboarded The BLOKC as Industry Partner Advisor.
- Polytechnic University of the Philippines signed an agreement with formal signing in January 2023.
- Angeles University Foundation signed an agreement with formal signing in January 2023.
- Signed an agreement with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region V for blockchain upskills, job-preparedness and skill certifications.
- Signed an agreement with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for the ICT Hub initiatives in upskilling, skill certifications and digital jobs creation.
- Signed an agreement with the Philippines Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) to equip their members with blockchain skill sets through Train-the-Trainers.
- Internship and on-the-job-training commitment of over 300+ senior students from university partners

D. GO TO MARKET STRATEGY
Our go-to-market strategy is to utilize all the relationships that we’ve built since 2017 with the university partners in securing the pool of their senior students and fresh graduates then work together with the government agencies with whom we have been dealing with since 2017 in creating various programs to increase global digital competitiveness leveraging blockchain technology and increasing the job creation and employment in the countryside by connecting them to the industry partners via the university-government-industry linkages.
