ZEC jumped 8% today to around $1,332 on a derivatives short squeeze — $4.91M in liquidations, 79% from shorts. The interesting part: ZCSH recorded $124M in net outflows over two weeks. Institutional money leaving the ETF wrapper while spot squeezes shorts. Two markets, same asset, opposite bets.
Zebra 7.0.0-rc.0 shipped October 2 and NU7 activated on testnet at block 4,465,026 — 25-second blocks, NSM fee recycling, all running. The mainnet decision lands October 20, eight days out. Downstream, Zingo merged NU7 deps and synced 16,410 blocks across the activation boundary clean.
On the forum, the ZSwap grant ($50k for shielded atomic swaps via adaptor signatures) is generating real technical debate — a frontrunning problem with the design remains unresolved. ZCG approved 0xramp at $45k for non-custodial ZEC payments in Brazil. Zcon7 in Cancún is two weeks out.
