In light of the many recent discussions regarding the future of the Dev Fund, Governance, and Coin-Holder Voting here on the forum, we have decided to schedule a Twitter Spaces session featuring @joshs (ECC), @Alex_ZF (ZF), @aquietinvestor (Shielded Labs), and @squirrel (ZecHub).
The goal is to hold a thoughtful discussion on recent proposals, ideas, and more. The stage is available to everyone to give their input.
This is a pivotal moment for the community. As usual, the session will be open to all who wish to join the conversation, share their perspectives, or ask questions.
If you would like to submit your questions in advance, feel free to post them in this thread, and we will address them during the event.
Number of token votes would not be relevant for the token vote, because it can be gamed so easily. I’m looking forward to figuring out what metrics we could use. Total share of the network participating to the vote would certainly be one, but I’m sure we can figure others.
Number of votes of KYC’d people has some relevance but it does not necessarily indicates quality or alignment with the success of the project either.
If these low numbers continue, I think we SHOULD end the dev fund. No one cares enough to vote, either with coins or through polling. I voted for zBlock or end the dev fund. Shit or get off the pot Zcash community.
Thank you for these interim stats! We for sure need some more engagement. I hope for a significant participation of ZEC holders, because this group is highly impacted by these upcoming decisions we have to make as a community. Props to Zechub and its participation rate, although a smaller group of individuals.
ZCAP/ZAC step up your game! Or “clean out” the people who do not want to participate in these crucial polls. Maybe they have no skin in the game and just do not care?
