Ubuntu; /var/log file takes up 200GB of 240GB SSD!

Total noobie here, i am devoid of veteran lingo and knowledge.

I’ve been running 2-5 GPUs for mining ZCASH with EWBF Cuda miner. TOday and yesterday I recieved notifications that my SSD is almost full!

There should be 150+ GB available, so after checking… the log files somehow used up 200GIGS!!

My question is: Outside of normal linux operations, is mining with EWBF ( and -pec option) causing this huge log file? Can I safely delete some of this?

Yes, also you could add a swith in your startup script to not gen a log file.
