Why did you leave Zcash or sold all your ZEC?

Great thanks to zooko not to fork asic away.
I bought the first batch equihash asic miner and already ROI.
I sold all zcash to get more bitcoin and never hold any zcash.
See the zcash/btc price , I did the right thing.

How much sadness and frustration most loyal users have after 2.5 years of first-stage emission .
If that’s not the best entry point to ZEC, then it’s obviously already somewhere nearby.

post your bitcoin address! good chance i could drop your real name within a day, with nothing more than a bitcoin address. i could then make a twitter account that posts all your TX, just for the laughs. good luck with your non-fungible tracking token

I adhere to the theory that in a few years zcash will enter the top 5 coins so I will keep on my coins.

You’re so lucky man
I used to consider buying the first ASIC batch but my government had forbidden that kind of machines at that time.

Thanks for taking time in expressing your thoughts. It takes guts to admit a mistake. I am only referring to ASIC friendliness here which was the primary reason i moved away from ZEC.

I am going to leave for several reasons:

  1. The product does not develop, or I just do not see it.
  2. The founders reward is coming to an end and most likely (in my opinion) the coin will be thrown (the company can create a new coin and promote it)
  3. In the current position, zcash is not needed as an asset to speculators (in my opinion, a bear market will continue indefinitely for the first 2 reasons I described)
  4. Almost half of the year has passed, and neither marketing nor adoption efforts have been undertaken, as well as devil-may-care attitude to their product in the form of a forum, on which there is no information about plans or prospects, only rare technical records (which from the users’ point of view not needed because they do not carry information for consideration.
  • Example: this week we are working on documentation and updates, something happened and something did not, but we will continue to work on them further.

I have back to ZEC and it was the worst my investment ever!

Since the day the community refused to change the algorithm, I sold all of my ZEC, because the community can’t fulfill its promise, ASIC will only concentrate the coins, which is not a good thing for the decentralized blockchain, one The founder, even if the coin dies, also supports ASIC.

I very much agree,I think it is because ZooKo ruined ZEC.

Nothing in here ever Promised anything if were being realists here…

The reason why I left is very simple, because ASIC.
in addition, ZooKo please pay for the mistakes you made. Of course, I will occasionally come to the forum to see if ZEC is dead.

So, why did you decide to come back?

Because 0.014 for ZEC it looked like very very bottom. and I have moved from BTC to ZEC.

I have started from ZEC mining and I belive in ZEC as a currency. But if it in constant falling it will be better to keep money even in fiat.

I am interested why?

Oh, I didn’t think about it. Thanks, I got it)

Zooko’s twitter is ANTI-marketing chanel for ECC/ZF. Yes, I understand that Zooko is not equal Zcash, but he is for sure leader of the company and his posts/likes/retwitts about WW2, healthy food, Venezuela, crimes looks like spam and makes me angry.

Why dont you just unfollow him? It’s easy… By a click, you’ll eliminate a source that makes you angry … Sounds great to me …

Good point, did it, thank you) next step is to sell ZEC.

The amount of Zcash you hold (or sold) has nothing (nor should be considered to have anything) to do with whether or not you “left Zcash” ; )
