We are excited to share our 8.1 milestone - August/2023.
The following report is about the Zcash Brazil 2023 proposal:
As you know, we had Zcon4 early this month, and Brazil was present with 4 members, 3 from the Zcash Brazil team (Michael, Samara, and Vito) and 1 member of the community - Vitor Pio from privacymap). At this event, we had the opportunity to share about our community in some panels, such as:
- @Michae2xl and @Samaraanni spoke on the ambassadors panel: x.com, x.com, x.com
- @Michae2xl spoke on the community growth panel.
- @vito supported ZF AV with videos and interviews.
- We did interviews with ZF AV and others: x.com, x.com
The event was fantastic, we made a lot of contacts while our Brazilian team was bustling with doing activities and iterations with our local community.
The event provided a lot of experience for us from Brazil, we learned a lot from everyone in the community and zcash teams in general, so thanks a lot for the opportunities.
Highlights:
- The team has translated “mempool, a solution from Conrado” for PT for our community to better understand what’s going on with the zcash mempool: Mempool - A Solução - by Zcash Brasil - Zcash’s Substack

- Thanks to ZF AV most Brazilian teams will attend dWebCamp in Brazil next month: x.com
- This month significant events on Discord Zcash Global as (Zcon4 overview, wallets, decentralizing digital, etc).
- We did Zcon4 giveaways for our members in Brazil: x.com, x.com
- Thanks to our great Brazilian developer @james_katz, we launched zecfaucet.com for onboarding new members, so they can download a wallet and receive Zcash on the mainnet.
- Several AI tests were made to make educational shorts with Zcash and its ecosystem, focused on networks that have less privacy-conscious users like Instagram and YouTube. We create avatars that will be voted by the community and we will release basic content for new users that will be added to the already programmed content - @Iogy & @Minevg
- We’ve increased Zcash’s social networks, passing 1k followers on X (Previous Twitter).
- We translated all the articles from ZecWeekly and created the “Giro de Noticias” to summarize the month for our community.
- Partnered with NYM to give away a Ledger Nano Plus.
- Partnered with CoinEX to give away tickets to Blockchain Rio.
- Partnered with the Privacy Map channel until December 2023
- Created Where’s Zebra? Same idea as Where’s Wally: x.com
- We’ve created 7+ educational images about Zcash.
- New avatars delivered

After Zcon4, we started our activities focusing on the event making a Community Call to talk about everything that happened in the event on Discord with special guests like Squirrel, DescentralistDan, Tripleyouwu & VitorPio (PrivacyMap).

Zcash Brasil
Activities
While @Vito and @michae2xl were on Zcon 4, the rest of the team @Mine, @Iogy, and @e-Zec were doing activities to engage the community. We´ve stimulated them to watch the live stream on the Spanish community. Although the event was too early, surprisingly the live stream had many viewers from the Brazil community
We’ve made the activity ‘Where’s the Zebra?’, based on the famous book ‘Where’s Waldo?’ in a creative way to strengthen the understanding of the Zero Knowledge Proof concept in a playful way. The idea was to challenge the community to find the zebra instead of Waldo in the image, take a print, and then perform a zero-knowledge test of the image.
It aimed to optimize the understanding of the ZKP concept in an interactive and fun way while stimulating observation skills and attention to detail. When performing the zero knowledge test of the image, the participants demonstrated their understanding of the concept, applying it in a practical way.
In the end, we´ve noticed a significant increase in the participants’ understanding and engagement with the concept of Zero Knowledge Proof, when associating it with a popular joke. Through this strategy, it was possible to convey complex content in a more accessible and enjoyable way.

- @mine & @Iogy - up to $1100/month for expenses with hours worked as a Design Team in Brazil.
- @vito - up to $1000/month for expenses with hours worked as Community/Social Media Manager and Content Creator in Brazil.
