Hey Zcash!

We are excited to announce our ZCG grant: Zcash Brazil/Global Apps & Services for 2026.

For 2026, our proposal is divided into development, support, and education, on a full-time and continuous basis. We have 11 products that need to be supported, maintained, improved, and have ongoing support. I would also like to offer two new opportunities: one junior developer for support and one designer with motion skills.

As @Michae2xl predicted in November 2024, “In 2025/2026, Zcash may finally have its moment to shine.” Here

One year later, in December 2025, the global and local landscape confirms this vision: surging financial surveillance, digital censorship, and the growing demand for private money are propelling privacy coins like Zcash, which surged over 1000%+ in 2025, outpacing even Bitcoin at times. Yet Brazil presents unique hurdles with its new cryptoasset regulatory framework. This proposal disentangles the problems (risks and barriers) from the opportunities (positive impacts), charting a strategy centered on education, P2P adoption, and advocacy to establish Zcash as a vital instrument of financial sovereignty in the country.

The Zcash ecosystem is blowing up fast. All sorts of pieces are evolving at breakneck speed, and the community has to stay on top of it in real time; no room for falling behind. The techy side of Zcash can spark all kinds of mix-ups, but with solid, easy-to-grab educational resources, we can wipe those out quickly.

We also need an independent squad to test out the latest ecosystem builds whenever they drop. Zcash users are scattered across the globe, including a buzzing, fast-growing crowd here in Brazil, and having one go-to spot for everyone to connect and hash things out is crucial. That means linking arms with core orgs and worldwide communities, like Brazilian user crews, to pull off events that vibe with the local scene.

As Zcash keeps expanding, we’ve got to hunt down fresh devs, designers, and other talent packing killer skills and fresh perspectivesespecially from hot emerging spots like Brazil, to spark real diversity and innovation. It’s also key to show off shielded ZEC in action as everyday payment fuel, spotlighting real-life wins in places hungry for financial privacy, like Brazil’s wild crypto world. Right now, there’s a bunch of privacy-focused projects humming in the ecosystem, so we need a dedicated crew for outreach, building those key connections, and hammering home that privacy’s a core human right, something that hits home big in Brazil’s hot debates on data shields and financial access for all.

Zcash Brazil has proven to be a community and educational force in spreading the message of Zcash not only in Brazil, but to all Portuguese speakers and other languages. Its educational content, community-building strategies, and developments have been a model to follow, with many Zcash projects benefiting from its contributions.

Great leadership and team! You have my support, and you can count on the Zcash community in Spanish in 2026 and beyond.

From day one, I have been inspired by all the work you have done, not only in creating a strong and active community, but also in your strategy of collaborating with other projects, which has given greater visibility and recognition to Zcash and the right to privacy in Brazil.

I like every one of the projects you have developed thanks to your developers, and I want to highlight the great work of the design team, which is always so proactive.

I want to say thank you to the entire community for their support. This approval means a lot to me and to Zcash Brazil, the result of our hard work with a defined vision, as we will be exploring new territories in 2026. Both our team and everyone at Zcash globally will experience new features, new integrations, and a new beginning, which will foster greater respect for us as a whole. I am optimistic for 2026, driven by the belief that the summer of privacy continues. Once again, thank you, ZCG.

Highligths

We’ve kicked off the year by introducing the newest members of the Zcash Brazil team! Four talented people have officially joined us and are already taking the lead on several important fronts, including event partnerships, hubs, study groups, and (surprise!) Zcon Voices 2.

We’re working hard to secure a venue in São Paulo for our second event, and we’ve already received early approval from the Zcash Foundation (ZF) to use the name Zcon Voices.

They are:

@AAmandita: Already an integral part of the team, she is responsible for interviews, Zebra Talk, Zona Z, in-person events, and serves as one of the community’s strongest voices thanks to her excellent public speaking and writing skills. She also helps with updates, announcements, and various other responsibilities.

@Zarkwing: A highly active member of the Zcash Brazil community, he currently moderates our channels and will now reinforce user support (Dizzy, faucet, and more).

@PacBR: Extremely active in the ecosystem, he’s been producing in-depth step-by-step technical tutorials and took part in the ZecHub hackathon, where he developed the ZECA product. He also helps organize and support our in-person events.

@Schönell: Former Community Manager at CoinEx Brazil, where he successfully managed events, meetups, schedules, and vendors. We’ve already collaborated on several occasions, and he’ll now be helping us organize events and meetups throughout 2026.

We’re honoring our commitments while also innovating our internal processes and content strategy for 2026. Our main goal has been to establish solid workflows, refresh our visual identity, improve content delivery, and eliminate low-impact activities. We’re now laser-focused on initiatives that deliver real results for the local community.

We’ve held several strategic meetings and secured important media partnerships running through December/26 with Rafaelando, as well as a broad new collaboration with Let’s Co Create, which begins in February and will cover multiple fronts, with more partnerships to come soon.

Hi Zcash community!

Basically, we rethought our brand strategy and presence. We would like to gain more exposure in Brazil by having booths at large events like Blockchain Rio, Tokenization, and five-month meetups, 1 per month, rather than having an event just for our own community with people who already know, in the case of Zcon Voices 2. For example, Blockchain Rio de Janeiro attracts 15000+ people, and Tokenization in São Paulo attracts 13000+. So we decided to have these two booths in Brazil with our swags and full-time capacities.

March was the month when Zcash Brasil moved from “active community” mode into real ecosystem-building mode.

  • Confirmed 3 major events: Blockchain Rio + Token Nation 2026 with full team/booth and Ipê City - Privacy House.
  • 4 In-person meetups/presences: BH On-Chain, CEFET-RJ, Bsides Hacking, and presence at Merge São Paulo - 3 different states.
  • Zcon Vozes 2 to be announced soon.

  • DEV: March was a solid month focused on infrastructure stability, backend migrations, and continued community engagement.
