Highlights

  • We have reviewed many articles and guided the creation of dozens of articles and videos about Zcash in Portuguese across Brazil.
  • Papo de Baleia (September 4, Rio de Janeiro): in-person live podcast by Vellora, “The Future of Financial Privacy”, with @AAmandita_ and Iogy representing Zcash Brazil. It turned into a partnership: Zcash Brazil is now sponsoring Papo de Baleia, focused on branding, brand exposure, and institutional and educational presence. On September 17, PacBR was also in person at the Vellora event in Barra da Tijuca. Watch the recording
  • Superteam Brasil: Zcash Brazil sponsored the Superteam Brasil bootcamp, with Zcash on the LED screen and $500 in prizes for Zcash project ideas.
  • PAY with ZEC in 12 countries, Brazil is leading it via 0xramp.app
  • AMA with WEEX Brasil (September 14): Zcash Brazil on X Spaces with @AAmandita_, another door opened at Blockchain.RIO. Announcement
  • Ipê City (September 26): @Michae2xl joined Ipê City’s first Online Community Assembly to talk practical privacy with André Fróes, Head of Community at Ipê: “Protect your data and shield your finances with Zcash.” He walked the community through a live demo: pay in ZEC, with the key and the file delivered over the Nym mixnet and decrypted on the buyer’s device.   • OpenZcash: 100K+ page requests from September 1 to 25. The new openzcash.org went live on September 20 with a new design, dark mode, and scheduled ZCG payments, bringing more predictability to coinholders. New this month: Zarvis, a Zcash guide that answers in your language and cites its sources, from the ZIPs to the ZCG ledger (the launch post passed 37K views); ZCG Copilot for builders heading to the Colosseum hackathon; the Arborist Call archive with all 131 editions; funding history since block zero and governance; a monthly PDF report built from the site’s own data; and the road to the genesis block, from David Chaum’s 1982 blind signatures to Zcash. 100K+ post
  • LiveZEC kept shipping: donation goals with a live progress bar, in ZEC or fiat, and a TTS word filter that turns troll memos into “marshmallow” while the original memo stays in the streamer’s wallet.   • Road to Vice City 1/3: The winner came straight from the Zcash blockchain: block 3483611, entry #36, and @DkMusachi takes GTA VI Ultimate Edition, paid with a Vizor gift card in shielded ZEC. Entry list, hash, and method are in a public repository. Edition 2 comes in October. Winner · Proof
  • LiveZEC tutorial in Portuguese: from zero to the first private donation on stream: account, viewing key via Vizor, OBS overlay, alerts, goals, and TTS. Watch
  • Zebra Talk: @AAmandita_ talked with Guiriba from Paradigma Education, with @Michae2xl on taking privacy seriously, and with Gabriel Nunes from NauttBR Finance.

  • 0xramp: swap ZEC to USDC in under 2 minutes, sending straight from Zodl, and gift cards in 68 countries and 2,600+ brands, paid from a shielded wallet, are coming to 0xramp.app.
  • Zcash Discord hit 9k members
  • Zcon 7, ¡vamos! We are organizing Zcash Brazil’s presence at Zcon 7: 7 members from Brazil will attend, and the design team is crafting a surprise gift for the attendees.
  • A month of auditing and reliability. Dizzy went through a deep audit of its user and balance data (inactive users, balances, database security and consistency), and the new account-auditing tooling is now deployed on the Zcash Brasil dashboard.
  • Zebra 6.4.2: our Zcash infrastructure node was updated to Zebra 6.4.2, the latest stable release at the time of the update.
  • LiveZEC under the hood: error tracking and logging with Grafana and GlitchTip, wired into our Telegram alerts, plus a code cleanup that brings it closer to an open-source release.
  • Maintenance round: ZcashMetro is back online after a few days of downtime, ZecStats now falls back to Binance and Kraken prices if CoinGecko fails, ZECTrivia got a fix for a critical session error, and the Zcash Brasil website has a new carousel hero.
  • Zcash bridge to Solana: wrapped tokens are bringing ZEC to DeFi, so we published a video tutorial on how to bridge ZEC to Solana. Watch the tutorial
  • Noir Wallet tutorial: connecting a wallet authorizes nothing; the site only sees the account you chose. Post
  • Governance education: We kept guiding the community through the coinholder polling votes, including the Q3 retroactive grants vote for ZEC holders, open until September 29, and teaching everyone how to take part. Voting notice
  • ZECTrivia Season 2 is done: the final session on September 24 closed the season with prizes delivered by ranking, and the last season of the year has already started.
  • Protocol Study Series: sessions #8 (Signatures, Balances, and Binding) and #9 (Hashes, Curves, and PRFs) of the guided 13-session reading of the Zcash Protocol Specification, part of Zcash Engineering Office Hours with Shielded Mark, with art and Portuguese coverage by Zcash Brazil. Post
  • Partnerships & Events: the contacts @Schonell built at Blockchain.RIO turned into September’s results. He organized our participation in Papo de Baleia, which became a sponsorship, and the AMA with WEEX Brasil, and kept following up on the TechCripto partnership deliverables.
  • Design: Iogy and Mine produced the month’s visuals
