I’ve been working on a structured curriculum with @ZecHub team, aimed at onboarding and training developers into the Zcash ecosystem, with a strong focus on Privacy tech and zero-knowledge systems
The goal is simple:
Raise a new generation of Zcash developers in emerging regions
Right now, there is a noticeable gap: there are little to no developers deeply skilled in zk-proofs and privacy-preserving systems in emerging regions like Africa. At the same time, the demand and relevance of privacy tech in the region continues to grow especially with a country like Nigeria becoming one of the top adopters of crypto-centric applications
Africa is a high-potential region but without native developers, adoption will remains limited.
What I’m Building
A curriculum which is designed as an intensive program that takes developers from:
- Blockchain fundamentals
- Zcash architecture & zk-SNARKs
- Running nodes and interacting with the network
- All the way to building real applications and contributing to open source
You can check the curriculum here
It’s heavily hands-on and builder-focused, with outcomes like:
- Zcash-integrated apps
- Payment tools
- Privacy-focused products
- First-time open-source contributions
Call for Zcash Engineers & Contributors
To make this truly impactful, I’m looking to collaborate with:
- Zcash engineers
- Rust developers familiar with Zcash tooling
- Zk/cryptography enthusiasts
- Contributors willing to mentor or support sessions
Support could look like:
- Guest sessions or workshops
- Code reviews / mentorship
- Guidance on best practices in privacy-preserving development
- Helping shape real-world use cases
Why This Matters
If we want to see broader adoption of privacy tech, we need to:
- Invest in developer education
- Build local technical capacity
- Enable builders who understand both context and technology
If this resonates with you or you’d like to contribute or give a feedback I’d love to connect and collaborate.
Let’s grow the Zcash ecosystem together
