Overview
The past month was an exciting period of growth and activity for Zcash East Africa. Our focus has remained on expanding awareness of Zcash, educating users about financial privacy, growing our regional community, and creating opportunities for both online and offline engagement.
Through educational content, community events, translations, and incentives, weโre building a sustainable Zcash presence in East Africa.
This report summarizes our activities, achievements, and community growth throughout the month.

Over the course of the month, we continued to experience steady organic growth across our social channels and community platforms.
Our growth has been driven primarily by:

The increasing engagement demonstrates growing interest in Zcash and privacy-preserving technologies within the East African region.
All this growth has happened with zero paid promotion, just a collaborative effort of the team members.

Swahili Localization Efforts
Localization remains an important pillar of the Zcash East Africa initiative.
During the month, we continued translating selected ecosystem content into Swahili to improve accessibility for East African audiences.
This effort helps:
- Reach non-English-speaking community members
- Increase awareness of Zcash among new audiences
- Make privacy education more inclusive
We also recently opened a TikTok account:

Our goal was to move beyond technical discussions and explain Zcash in ways that are relevant to everyday users, students, creators, entrepreneurs, and builders across Africa.
$100 Community Bounty โ Completed
To encourage community participation and educational content creation, we launched the first Zcash East Africa video Contest.
The contest invited community members to create educational content around:
- Zcash
- Privacy
- Financial freedom
- IronWood Upgrade
These original contents helped spread awareness of Zcash beyond our immediate community.
Following the conclusion of the contest:
- Entries were reviewed
- Winners were selected
- Rewards were distributed

Community Meetup
Physical Event
One of the highlights of the month was our in-person Zcash East Africa Community Meetup held at Voi, Kenya and the community were glad to have an increase in the blockchain and web3 awareness in the community.
The meetup brought together community members interested in:

- Financial privacy
- Blockchain technology
- Web3 innovation

Online Meetup (X Spaces)
To complement our physical outreach efforts, we will also be hosting an online community discussion through X Spaces.
The session will enabled participants from different locations across East Africa to join the conversation and learn more about:
- Zcash
- Privacy technology
- Community initiatives
- Ecosystem opportunities
The space encouraged open discussion and allowed community members to engage directly with one another.
This demonstrated the value of combining online and offline engagement strategies to maximize reach and accessibility.
Looking Ahead
In the coming months, Zcash East Africa plans to:
- Continue Merchant Adoption
- more Swahili localization efforts
- Host additional community meetups
- Organize more online educational sessions
- Grow regional community participation
- Increase awareness of Zcash among students, developers, and privacy advocates
- Strengthen ecosystem representation at major blockchain events
