Zcash Foundation Update • March 2020

From the newsletter, as usual.

Hello friends. We hope that you and your loved ones are doing well in this scary, stressful time.

Zcash Foundation staff have always worked from home, primarily with computers. For the most part our jobs have not been disrupted, even as our homes and much of the world have locked down in response to COVID-19.

However, we did make the sad but necessary decision to postpone Zcon2 (previously scheduled for June) until next year.

Last week, ZF cryptographic researcher Henry de Valence wrote two blog posts explaining how cryptographers and other privacy technologists can help society combat COVID-19:

In the fifth installment of a ZF-funded series on privacy and cryptocurrency for the Human Rights Foundation, Eric Wall did his very best to buy bitcoin anonymously.

Lastly, Blockchair now hosts a Zcash explorer.

That’s all for now. Until next time!
