Many services maintained by James Katz depend on VPC hosting and API keys. All of these service payments are up to date. Currently, these services are:
- 3 Amazon AWS / LightSail instances
- OpenAI API key
Dizzy is one of the most successful and important bots maintained by James. This month Dizzy received many GitHub commits, mostly bug fixes and improvements / new features.
James also provided support for Discord users.
ZecGPT is a discord assistant bot for Zcash Global. It can answer and help users learn more about zcash and cryptocurrencies in general. New features of this new version:
- OpenAI vision - Now ZecGPT can recognize images
- Text-to-speech - Now ZecGPT can answer in TTS if instructed to.
ZecFaucet is a community faucet managed by James. This month the SSL Certificate needed to be renewed with a self-signed signed using Certbot.
James is also responsible for configuring and maintaining some bridges to connect Discord channels and Telegram to Discord.

James forked an opensource Telegram Captcha bot to implement a novel method for detecting fake users, that involves asking the user the current $ZEC price on Coingecko. This way we aim to prevent automated users from joining Zcash Telegram Groups.

A cybersecurity quiz was created to enhance awareness and knowledge about cybersecurity.

We have an education category on the Zcash Global server with basic information about the server, Zcash, and Web3 themes.
This month we made updates to the banners and commands in the English, Brazil & Spanish categories.
*Note 1: We managed to contact and are concluding a partnership with the Brave Browser project, helping them to strengthen the project in Brazil in favor of privacy. More updates coming soon.
Note 2: We also carried out constant maintenance on the server, including the most important one: Creation and addition of the ZcashBridge bot, where we can bridge rooms, and telegrams without limits. With this, we repaired the bridges that were broken in the ES, ZF AV, and Zcash EN categories → Zcash Community on Telegram

We are very happy to complete the first milestone of 2024!
In this milestone we brought back the Zoe project, whose feedback was very good among the community, in addition to new features that we created with great care, bringing information and education about the Zcash ecosystem.
In addition to taking care of the design of Zcash Brasil, creating pieces to illustrate the context of the information as banners, images, or videos.
We decided to focus more on YouTube this year, given its reach and accessibility. Brazil has a very large user base on this platform. This month we changed some account details to adapt to the platform’s guidelines. Adding a watermark, creating posts, indexes, tags, weekly subtitled video playlists, and tutorials focusing on better positioning and reach.
