Zcash Nigeria Monthly Activity Report - April 2025
The month of April 2025 was a productive and engaging period for the Zcash Nigeria team. We made significant progress in our outreach efforts, content creation, community engagement, and grassroots adoption of Zcash. Through both online and offline activities, we continued to educate the public on the importance of privacy and the benefits of using Zcash.
Article Publication
We produced and published a well-researched and well-written article that provided insights into Zcash, its privacy features, and its use cases in the African and Nigeria context. The article was well received by our community and contributed to greater awareness of Zcash’s potential in Nigeria.

Twitter Threads and Social Media Engagement
Throughout April, we shared several informative Twitter threads aimed at educating and engaging our audience. These threads covered various aspects of Zcash, including privacy, adoption strategies, and real-world applications. As a result, we experienced notable growth across our social media platforms, with increased follower count and engagement rates.

Zealy Quest Campaign
We launched Zealy quest 3.0 campaign designed to boost community involvement through interactive learning and participation. The campaign attracted over 160 participants, who actively completed tasks and challenges related to Zcash. This initiative helped deepen community knowledge and foster stronger connections among Zcash enthusiasts in Nigeria.

Join Zcash Nigeria Zealy | Zealy. A total of 161 participants took part in the sprint for a reward pool of 4 ZEC. In the end, 15 participants were rewarded for their contributions.

ZEC Goes to Church" Meetup Event
One of our most impactful offline events this month was the “ZEC Goes to Church” meetup. The event brought together members of a local church community to learn about financial privacy and the benefits of using Zcash. It provided a unique opportunity to introduce Zcash to new demographics and spark conversations around responsible digital finance in faith-based settings.

Business Onboarding for ZEC Payments
In April, we successfully onboarded a local business to start accepting Zcash (ZEC) as a form of payment. This milestone represents a step forward in real-world adoption and demonstrates the practicality of Zcash as a reliable medium of exchange.

Yoruba Translation of the Zcash Ecosystem Digest
To make Zcash resources more accessible to non-English speakers, we translated the latest Zcash Ecosystem Digest into Yoruba. This initiative supports our commitment to inclusivity and ensures that the Yoruba-speaking community can stay informed and engaged.

  • Zcash Nigeria X account: from 732 to 821
  • Zcash Nigeria Telegram Channel: from 199 to 210 members
  • Zechub Nigeria Substack: from 65 to 99 subscribers

244 Zealy subscribers, 161 participants took part in the sprint, 15 Sprinters were rewarded for their participation in the Zealy campaign

April 2025 marked another successful chapter in our journey to promote Zcash in Nigeria. From publishing educational content and hosting inclusive events to facilitating real-world adoption and expanding our reach on social media, Zcash Nigeria remains dedicated to building a strong, informed, and privacy-conscious community.

Next Steps:

  • Continue producing localized educational content.

  • Expand Zealy quests and reward community participation.

  • Onboard more businesses to accept ZEC.

  • Host additional outreach events in diverse communities.

  • Strengthen our presence on social media platforms.
