ZSAs are nominally comparable to ERC-20 tokens, so yes, sort of.

Zcash will not support smart contracts any time soon. After ZSAs are implemented Zcash will be more akin to the X-chain on Avalanche, where you can mint and send assets, but there are no on-chain DEXes like Uniswap.

There is ongoing work by QEDit under ZIP 228: Asset Swaps for Zcash Shielded Assets to define a protocol for shielded atomic swaps between ZSA assets. It will almost certainly not activate at the same time as the base layer ZSA changes, but swaps are definitely on the roadmap.

Right, but it’s not the same as Uniswap which operates wholly on-chain. I think the ideal Zcash should strive for is some sort of super multi-key FHE scheme, but that’s far in the future.
