ahh, ok. thought there might be a different way ie something like --daemon. will do it with screen. tnx!
For what itâs worth, all my payments have come through in a timely manner. Zmine gets high marks in my book.
Everything I said was due to my own misunderstanding. I have just been paid, Zmine is safe and legit. Thank you
Is your pool supporting genoil miner ?
@jamie1029
The pool is small but hey no problems with payments so thatâs nice
@CrazyEarner
I havenât been able to test with that miner.
zconn not accepted: hex (20)
zec-sa#0 submitting solution
zconn not accepted: hex (20) error
Something wrong with personal stats. When I add more miners My Hasrate does not grow, despite the fact that its getting higher and shares are accepted. Is it ok?
I donât know about you, but for me the h/s takes some time to grow and is more accurate after a new round startsâŚ
Can more people join this pool? Too long between blocks now :(. How come the hash rate is 12000 then jumps to 50000 then back to 12
Itâs a good pool, ppl should join to keep zcash diverse and stable, but donât get too worried about time between blocks. If it takes longer to get it vs other pools, you also get a bigger cut than on other pools. Total ZEC takeaway depends more on your own hash either way.
This is one of the more responsive straightforward pools. Iâm currently CPU mining with str4d and it looks like the performance is better than nheqminer. My payouts go straight to poloniex. Itâs fairly difficult to accurately compare zmine with other pools because there are a lot of variables across share calculations.
That said, Iâd like to see more people mining on zmine because it seems like a good pool.
Sorry for the late reply, and yep, I;m around 50+H/s
Using dual E5-2650v3 with 64G ECC RAM, all-1 threads used.
That machine is used as a file server, so I repurpose the cpu usage a bit.
I got it, yes, exactly, we need a new round for that.
Iâm a total nuub that has been trading Crypto for a while with no interest in mining until zCash came along.
Went out and bought a little Intel i5 nuc with 34.1Gb/s memory bandwidth (which I believe is the key factor in Zcash mining?)
Signed up with Zmine.io because:
- I have seen str4dâs name around
- I liked the look of it and that it is still small in number of workers.
I got it all up and running on Debian with relatively little hassle - super amazing for a unix-hater
Now, my question.
Can someone please explain what each (non-obvious) column here means:
P.S. I am just super happy that I even have shares already (whatever that means)!
Thanks for your patience and (hopefully) simple responses!
J
nice job. You may make sure you are using equihashsolver=tromp
It was in the run line on the front page of Zmine so I am going to assume I am using it
./src/zcash-miner -stratum=stratum+tcp://zmine.io:1337
-user=tmGUdN9CE1wNb7znydNHYiyw8VzqmApnLrp -equihashsolver=tromp
-genproclimit=-1
Height is which block was solved. You might care about this because a reward isnât available to be queued for payment until (I think) 100 additional blocks are solved. Reward is the mining reward. Look at the overall rounds to see recent reward sizes which are slowly increasing during the slow start (Read about it on the zcash blog) towards 12.5 zecs (every 2.5 minutes). Age will show how long ago that block was solved, so youâll know how often the pool is solving a block. Shares show how many total shares there are in the pool, and your shares show how many of them are yours. Youâll receive yourshares/shares of the reward. Your hashrate is the speed at which you are generating shares in the pool, though this number is accurate over time, it often starts out a little off.
AFAIK, the fastest current miner for you would be this one:
Good luck. Iâm a fellow first timer too. Zmine is great IMO. Itâs reliable, clean and clear. Itâs also one of the smaller pools, which a lot of people probably think of as a negative, but isnât really. In a larger pool that gets more blocks, youâll get less from each block. In a smaller pool that gets fewer blocks, you get a larger share, same overall income. But if too many people flock to the largest pools, that gives the pool operators a lot of power and makes them a very big target for bad actors. The more healthy pools there are, the better.
It would be ultra cool if some of you big dogs could put some hashing power here. This is a quality pool that we should help grow. It would be nice to see as many as possible flourish for the future of zcash. It doesnât hit as many blocks but the payouts are sweet!
Thanks.
totally agree. We need more hashing power. Honest pool here, good payouts. Network hash rate is growing but pool hash rate is shrinking. Cmon guys, tell your friends to join Zmine! We need a block at least every 24 hrs
At least during the slow start, miners in a small pool might make out a little better than in a massive pool because our dayâs block is later than their many average blocks and thus larger. Itâd still be nice for the health of zcash to have a reliable pool like this one do well.
I post about zmine all the time elsewhere. Hopefully you all do as well, just to raise awareness. But Iâm not clear on how most people are choosing their pools currently.
