The Zcash Foundation has just released Zebra 1.0.0-rc.9. This is our final stable release candidate and our last call for testing ahead of our stable release, currently scheduled for next Wednesday June 14th.

Silly question, can I use the blockchain data downloaded with Zcashd in Zebrad?
Or I must download the blockchain all over again?
I’ve never actually tried but I doubt it. Certainly want to back-up first in case of file corruption
Unfortunately not, because they use different database formats.
You can point Zebra to a Zcashd instance to connect to, and try to speed up the download (I think you also need to whitelist the Zebra node in Zcashd config so that is not throttled), but I’m not sure how much it will improve the sync.
