Squirrel moderated the Zcomm session ’ How we ran the world’s biggest privacy hackathon ever’ with Harsh Bajpal

Vito coordinated a spaces with ShapeShift we aim to have another community call once shielded support is available on the platform.

We held our biweekly Sync meetings in Discord with summaries published to substack by Vito.

Wiki Updates:

Kroy delivered an Isometric Icon Pack (Light and Dark Mode) for ZecHub.wiki. The website now has a consistent design.

We now have multi-language support across all pages on the Wiki!

Thanks to Tron, Dismad, @speedfox and @hyperlander there are now a number of options on the Dashboards wiki page. These include ZecHub DAO and FPF Treasury data, Youtube Channel metrics from Zcash Foundation, Shielded Labs, Zcash Media & ZecHub. We also display Zcash Community Grants public data.

Dismad made several updates to Dashboard scripts and wiki pages:

Coin Vote Authority

Dismad setup the zecvote.zone public frontend via nginx & collaborated with other Vote Auths + Hahn.

MFZ v2:

Chapters 4-8 main text was updated by Squirrel. Weekly meetings were held in Discord, read the #mfz channel for updates

Tron’s focus has been strengthening authentication, improving transaction handling, and enhancing admin controls.

Authentication Improvements

  • Refactored and updated authentication logic to improve system security and reliability
  • Ensured better role handling and access validation across backend services

Data Export Feature

  • Implemented an Export Page to allow only admins to:
  • Generate CSV files
  • Download structured data for reporting and analysis
  • Improved usability for data extraction and external processing

Bounty System Enhancements

  • Fixed issue where selected winners’ addresses were not being displayed
  • Introduced Edit Bounty functionality for improved flexibility in bounty management
  • Added support for multiple assignees, enabling more collaborative task allocation

Admin & Client Role Toggle

  • Implemented a role toggle system for core team members:
    • Allows switching between Admin and Client views
    • Enforces strict access control:
      • No client can self-promote to admin
  • Improved internal workflow for core team members managing the platform

Transaction Fixes

  • Implemented dynamic switching of blockchain explorers based on chain type
  • Improved accuracy and reliability of transaction hash (txids) tracking

Rescan & Sync Feature

  • Successfully implemented:

    • Rescan option
    • Sync status functionality

  • Feature works reliably and provides:

    • Better blockchain state updates
    • Improved debugging and recovery for failed sync states

  • Dismad has collaborated with zingo devs on our backend service

Educational Content:

Z|ECC Summit Interviews

We released 3 interviews recorded at Z|ECC summit, Vito handling post production &thumbnails designed by Kroy. Shorts of these interviews available on our Youtube Channel.

Vito also worked on shorts from the Shielded Labs Crosslink workshop.

We regularly post on Bluesky and Mastodon, give us a follow there too!

Vito has been maintaining the community server by fixing bridge-related bugs and creating new categories to accommodate new teams. He also provided support for community websites by reporting bugs, and assisted community members in organizing events on the Zcash Discord server.
