Hi everyone, here is ZecHub’s monthly update:

Major Achievements

We are currently testing a new Zcash private vote platform built by @Michae2xl to host a parallel vote on this proposal.

Project Updates:

This month we held several community calls, wiki site updates and progress made on the ZecBounties platform as well as the Zcash Discord.

Vito synced the ZODL server with the Zcash Discord, customizing the user experience by roles so users can choose only the categories they want: Zodl, Zcash, and Wallets, while hiding other channels. He created 20 Zcomm clips/shorts!

All scheduled weekly articles were published along with community updates on Discord.

Community Calls:

We held a call with Pablo & Vivek from Qedit in which they gave a presentation + demoed Zcash Shielded Assets using the zcash txtool. We had a Q&A session restreamed from Discord to X.

We held our biweekly Sync meetings in Discord and went through our quarterly treasury report on the 21st with summaries published to substack by Vito.

Q1 '26 Treasury Report

Wiki Updates:

We have added a new Research page which lists all of our previous articles including tags and publish dates. Exchanges page has been updated to include Peer, Loofta, Robinhood and THORChain.

Our Ambassadors page has been updated with new images. We now have a Tools page which allows for Payment Request Building, creation of a Payment Request Widget, ZEC-ZAT converter and a Unified Address decoder.

Our Search function has been improved with a new index of wiki pages. We have temporarily disabled Zechub AI search due to a security notice published by vercel.

The ZecHub Dashboard’s appearance has been refreshed with more inuitive button placement. Thanks to Foundry’s zcashinfo.com api we now display Zcash mining pool distribution.

Dismad’s Updates:

  • Updated all zebra nodes to 4.3.1

  • Updated zcashd to v6.12.1

  • Vercel issue was managed and communicated

  • export png button fix / remove duplicate bug on certain pages

  • toggle button to show ZCG grants newest/oldest added

  • updated zechub dashboard tab display, optimized for mobile

  • updated community blogs into a table format

  • updated community projects into a card format

  • fixed a major bug in networksolps – you have to include a -1 in the rpc to get the correct avg

  • hardened-zebard guide

Dismad’s Office hours

  • zcash-knot-qr (new/featured): A creative Rust + Sage project that converts Zcash Unified Addresses (u1…) into artistic hexagonal “knot QR codes” inspired by a Quanta Magazine article on knot invariants. It includes math visualizations, lattice mappings, and PNG output.

  • zcash-explorer (forked Zcash block explorer): Added full zebrad support + custom RPC page + Block Radar for educational visualization

  • rusty-fractions: Rust GUI tool for exact fraction arithmetic, continued fractions, step-by-step math rendering (with Typst), and exports (PNG, MD, LaTeX). Features a responsive egui interface.

  • zec-balance-graph: Rust tool to locally graph shielded Zcash balances (pairs with zkool GraphQL backend; emphasizes privacy with local-only key handling).

  • rusty-zechub (Rust playground): Minor update

Collaborations

  • Dismad has been in collaboration with Ryan and will be an admin. Squirrel and Vito are editors for the Zechub channel and will be uploading video content.

Shielded Labs Crosslink Testnet

  • Dismad is participating in Crosslink Testnet

Women in DeFi Summit 2026

  • 3x3 booth banner and Design support for WID Summit handled by Kroy

MFZ v2:

My First Zcash v2 updated main text of chapters 1-8 provided to all translators in .docx & .txt formats.

Next immediate steps are to create the new page design layout, update graphs and images where needed and coordinate with Global Ambassadors around page design for translated text.

ZEC Bounties:

This month’s development focused on performance optimization and scalability improvements in response to increased user activity. Efforts were directed toward improving database efficiency, reducing unnecessary data fetching, enhancing load times through pagination.

Tron’s updates:

  • Improved Z-address verification UI so users can differentiate between mainnet and testnet addresses

  • Delivered Teams Feature (v1) enabling initial support for multi-user collaboration

  • Updated workflow logic to align with new team and bounty processes

  • Implemented bounty pagination for faster initial load times and better performance

  • Added database indexing (Prisma schema) to improve query speed and scalability

  • Optimized database queries by eliminating unnecessary field fetching, improving overall performance

  • Implemented “Load More” pagination for bounties to support incremental data loading

  • Developed a dedicated stats route for improved data reporting and analytics

  • Enhanced bounty workflow logic by automatically removing non-winning assignees after bounty completion

  • Integrated avatar URL support across relevant pages for consistent user representation

  • Improved avatar loading performance and optimized image handling

  • Fixed bugs relating to real-time update as some pages required manual reloads to update UI
