In January 2024, a small group of Zcashers met in Palm Springs for Zeboot. The goal was to rethink the Zcash user experience and set a new direction. That gathering became the Z|ECC Summit, and it’s now the ZODL Summit: a twice-yearly gathering and working session of Zcash contributors and ecosystem partners.
Our next gathering is January 18-21 2027 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Why we gather
The Summit is where contributors work toward a world without mass financial surveillance, a world built on Zcash. We present and work through plans, compare roadmaps, and talk candidly about where things stand and where we’re headed. These conversations go best in person and off the record.
Format
The community program runs from Tuesday through Thursday morning. Sessions are not recorded and are held under the Chatham House Rule: you can share what was said, but not who said it.
Who should apply
Participation is open to contributors across the Zcash ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on builders. The ZODL team will be there, and past participants have included people from the Zcash Foundation, Edge, Flexa, Maya, NEAR, NYM, Qedit, red·bridge, Shielded Labs, Tachyon, Valar, Vizor, ZCG, ZecHub, ZingoLabs, zkAVClub and many more.
Attendance is limited, so we will select participants based on past and ongoing contributions to Zcash, and on ecosystem partnerships that matter for the year ahead.
Cost
The Summit itself is free, but attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.
