The ZODL Summit (previously the Z|ECC Summit) is the twice-yearly gathering of Zcash contributors and ecosystem partners. It’s a working session focused on what we’re building and what we need to do next to put unstoppable private money in the hands of billions.
Our next gathering is July 8–10 in Prague, Czech Republic.
What this is
We envision a world without mass financial surveillance, where law-abiding people can transact freely and privately, without fear that their data will be exploited, sold, or weaponized by criminals, corporations, or governments.
A world where financial privacy is the default and access to markets is a human right. Because the ability to make transactions that sustain life and liberty should belong to everyone.
The ZODL Summit is a place where Zcash contributors come together to make that happen. We present and work through plans, collaborate on roadmaps, and have candid conversations about where we are and where we intend to go. These are things that are most effectively done in person and off the record.
Format
The community program runs from Wednesday through Friday morning. Note that if you have attended in the past, this is half a day longer than previous summits.
The ZODL Summit is not recorded and is held under the Chatham House Rule to encourage open dialogue. Participants can share what was said, but not attribute it to individuals.
Who should apply
Community participation is open to contributors across the Zcash ecosystem, with a heavy emphasis on builders. The ZODL team will be there, and past summit participants have included contributors from the Zcash Foundation, Shielded Labs, Qedit, Tachyon, ZecHub, ZCG, zkAVClub, ZingoLabs, Flexa, Maya, NEAR, NYM, Edge, red·bridge, and many others.
Seats are limited. We will select participants based on past and ongoing contributions to Zcash, as well as ecosystem partnerships material to the year ahead.
There’s no charge to attend the Summit itself. Travel and accommodations are at attendees’ expense, though we can help selected participants secure discounted hotel rates. Scholarships are available for those in need. If needed, please indicate so in your application.
