I have considered doing this but decided not to, for the moment:
For the time being, I focus on having the best wallet for one coin.
I thought it would not be obvious that the balance is clickable. A separate button would need extra space.
That is a great idea.
Thanks for testing and your feedback.
Please rate the app on the Google store!
Now released on iOS for public beta.
I don’t have any iThings to test it with, but if you do feel free to post test results here.
Just fantastic @hanh.
The iOS build of ZWallet is in public beta. If you want to join, download TestFlight and use this link:
Note: Don’t forget to save your SEED phrase
Thanks,
–h
Edit: Replaced screenshots with iPhone 12 screenshots of Zwallet Test. There are many more features not in these images.
Hey Hanh,
First of all, recovering a wallet was super fast! . That’s a very nice experience.
Some feedback from iphone12 (French language)
Where I go in the settings, and press “ok” nothing happens. I have to click on “cancel” to go back to the main screen.
When I press on the “send” button on the main screen, a light grey screen appears and nothing happens. I can swipe it to come back to the original screen.
This is an issue with the French localization. It works in English. Thanks for reporting it!
Edit: A fix (build 145) has been deployed.
Ywallet for iOS now in app store
Hello @hanh,
I was wondering if there was any plans for Zwallet to be released on iOS platform. I was using the beta, but it is no longer available
@den The Zcash version is called “WarpWallet” because Zwallet was already taken. You should be able to check it out in App Store.
The Ycash version is still “YWallet”
Here’s a link to WarpWallet on iOS https://apps.apple.com/us/app/warpwallet/id1586971303. Fastest sync of any Zcash wallet and what I really like is when your phone is laying flat, the balance is hidden. Tip your phone up and the balance shows.
For more information, please refer to the official website
My 50 cent: having wallets for both Zcash and Ycash on the same page can be confusing for users of both currency. Also, different name for app on Android and iOS doesn’t help with name recognition. I guess if your target is advanced users then it might not be a big deal.
I use Zwallet more often than any other mobile wallet but I wouldn’t recommend it for new users. One reason for that is the above. Cheers.
the owner of the WarpWallet is YcashFoundation. That seems weird & confusing!
Ycash Foundation gave Hanh access to publish Warpwallet along with Ywallet (for Ycash).
Was a neighborly thing to do IMHO, its a great wallet.
Does your Z wallet accept backup seeds from ZecWallet lite?
In my experience testing the YWallet/WarpWallet apps, the YecLite or ZecLite seeds only work if the Lite wallet has balances in the 1st shielded address. Recall that YecLite/ZecLite start with several shielded and transparent addresses, but it is up to the user to actually use them.
The shielded private keys exported from YecLite/ZecLite also import seamlessly into YWallet/WarpWallet.
Also, keep in mind YWallet/WarpWallet can create several Accounts with different seeds and keys… so that’s likely why there are compatibility issues—- YWallet/WarpWallet does more.
Therefore, to avoid any confusion or loss of funds, I’ve always recommended to my friends to only go from YWallet/WarpWallet to YecLite/ZecLite unless your are using shielded private key (or know what your are doing).
I’ve spent several hours testing both, but @hanh maybe able to clarify if I have misspoken.
I imported my ZecWallet Lite iOS seed words into WarpWallet (for just one shielded address) and that worked fine.
I might prefer WarpWallet because of the contacts feature. Say I want to send ZEC to my buddy Bob, whose address I added into my wallet contacts, I just type Bob in the address field, and the wallet knows what address to send to.
Yes, but as @z.yodler mentioned, only the first shielded and transparent addresses are scanned.
