You’ve been always “all-in” on ZEC and its mission. You will be a great successor to a living legend like @zooko. It will be quite a challenge but I have confidence you will fulfill his role with hard work, passion and the humbleness that characterizes you.
@zooko it takes a lot of greatness to make this decision and set ECC for a new season. Not many people in Tech’s history have had the strength and character to co-exist with their own legacy and let it grow beyond themselves with such generosity. All the best to you on this new role.

You have said that you strongly feel that putting effort into giving Cosmos a large validator set is the wrong problem to solve. Do you also hold that view for Zcash in relation to choosing a protocol for the PoS transition?
@joshs What (if any) changes or additions to the roadmap and priorities of the ECC are you planning?
Will there be any updated transparency reporting for ECC given this change?
Cheers and Thank You @Zooko for all of the work, and for so many years being very candid with the entire Zcash community (and the broader crypto ecosystem).
For me personally, Zcash took over not only my life but also my identity. It was hard for others to see Zcash as something separate from me. Sometimes it was hard for me to do that myself. It has been an incredible experience, and I’ll always be grateful that I had the opportunity to live out one of my science fiction dreams in reality. However, in the long run, I don’t think this conflation of Zcash with me personally is healthy for me, and I don’t think it’s healthy for Zcash. Zcash’s role in human history is, and will be, much bigger than any individual.
Certainly this is a bitter-sweet day, beginning to formally separate your identity from Zcash’s will very likely mark a new turning point in the history of the project, and in your personal life. As I’m sure you’ve wondered for years… Why didn’t I go the route of Satoshi, and remain a fully anonymous creator of Zcash?
Take a load off, surely you’ve loved to see the triumphs, but also the many burdens take their toll.
I’d like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Bootstrap Board and Zooko for their commendable efforts. Implementing change is often a challenging and demanding endeavor, so I’ll always have the highest respect for those who dedicate themselves to making a difference. 
Zooko’s contribution to Zcash is already immeasurable. My experience of the first era of Zcash from 2016 - 2023 was in many ways one of awe. He didn’t do it alone, and he’s not the only one that deserves respect, accolades, and recognition but Zooko’s effort for, and impact on, human autonomy has been nothing short of heroic.
I am glad to learn that he has the opportunity to take stock and develop awareness. He has truly given his all when it was needed, and deserves space to be himself.
I am also thrilled to be present in this moment. It’s exciting to be in the place where fresh perspectives expand our paradigm, and our dynamic community explores new opportunities. Let’s move past the place where a single person’s name is immediately associated with our technology, and into a much bigger space!
