I’m currently using Coinomi and Freewallet for Zcash which are working fine but don’t have the ability to send shielded transactions.
Are there any that are recommended?
Unfortunately no wallets support z-addresses yet. This is due to the way private transactions are generated (requiring 1.7GB of Ram) this will change after the upcoming Sapling upgrade though.What's New in Sapling - Electric Coin Company
There is a cool Beta project called Pyzcto that allows your Android phone to connect to a full node you are running, over Tor, and allows you to send private transactions. GitHub - miguelmarco/pyzcto: A pyqt front end for the zcash wallet, and the companion of Zcash Pannel

Thanks for that answer. I’m starting to get a respectable pile of Zcash thanks to my mini z9 and looking at keeping some in an online wallet and moving the rest offline to use in a few years.
