Building my first rig

Hello all,

I spend the last weeks mining Z with a two desktops, one with asus poseidon 1080ti and another with a msi armor 1080.
I’m making 0.01558 in Zcash per day.
Now I want to build a dedicated rig. After spend some days looking harware advice in net I’m planing to build these one:

MOTHERBOARD ATX GIGABYTE H110-D3A

CPU Intel Core i5-7400 Quad-Core 3.0GHz c/ Turbo 3.5GHz 6MB Skt1151

RAM G.SKILL Aegis 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4-2400MHz CL15 black

SSD M.2 2280 Samsung 860 Evo 250GB MLC V-NAND SATA

Seasonic PRIME Ultra 850W Titanium Full Modular

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB - 2 of them

I know that I can choose some less expensive hardware like, cpu, ssd, without loosing performance in mining. What do you suggest? What about the two GPU? Should I invest in Ti version?

no need for i5 , get celeron
no need for 8gb , get 4gb
no need for 250gb ssd , you can get much less or even run from usb .
that will save you some bucks

1200watt PSU can run 4 gtx 1080ti with powerlimit , which you will do anyways.

and finally 1070 ti have almost same performance as 1080.

Greetings: I have a meager mining operation and happily mine ZEC all day long. I have a hodgepodge of mining computers, and even two gaming rigs getting in on the action in their spare time. I’ve learned a few lessons on the way and have settled on the GTX1060-3gb card with EWBF’s miner. I currently operate two of those as well as seven other systems, all of which dedicated to ZEC mining. Anyhow, my two 1060 miners have 6 cards each and burn about 800w of power. Each one gets roughly 1600H…

Put all the money into the most efficient GPU’s you can get. It’s not worth it to spend a lot on the other stuff.

you might consider getting AMD board like the ones from Asrock or Biostar, B350 or B320, these offer you most bang for your buck
