Greetings, Zcashers!

I am very excited and happy to share with you this invitation. A new experiment.

You already know me and you know that I love experiments, like the one I did interviewing people on the street to find out if they knew Zcash.

And now, together with the Zcash en Español team, we go one step further:

We start the Zcash Club Barcelona!

The Zcash Club Barcelona, which is a local space, where we plan to meet regularly, to talk, teach and raise awareness about Zcash, privacy, its technology and all the implications.

We think this will not only serve to spread more Zcash, its wallets, and everything we do within the ecosystem, but also to bring new people, users, and why not? maybe developers, allies, sponsors or anything that networking can allow us.

We appreciate the support and diffusion of the 1st event that we will have this month. If you are in Barcelona or Spain, it will be great to see us in person. And if you have friends or acquaintances in this city, it would also be great if you could invite them and connect with this new club.

If the receptivity is good and we notice interest from the attendees (I feel optimistic and I think it will be so), we will surely be doing talks and workshops about Zashi, Zingo, ZecHub, and other elements of our community.

We appreciate everyone’s support. We know that it is very difficult to start a community from scratch, but we are sure that we have the support of all of you, and hopefully this initiative will be replicated in more cities around the world.

Thank you! For now, reposting and disseminating what we put on social networks.

We’re going to try inviting people from communities we’ve been meeting at various crypto events in this city, who have been interested in Zcash, but didn’t know anyone. Now they will have no excuse not to learn.

As the proposal catches on and takes hold, we can do more diverse things, talk about mining, nodes, etc, etc.

There is a very active Mastodon server in Spain, masto.es with almost 2000 members.

I think it definitely would be worth reaching out in the Fediverse for this initiative.
