Coinholder-Directed Retroactive Grants Program FPF Admin Request for Feedback

Hello Zcash community,

On behalf of the Financial Privacy Foundation (FPF), we want to express our sincere gratitude for the trust you’ve placed in us. We’re excited to support the community and help steward a transparent, fair, and effective grants process for the Coinholder-Directed Retroactive Grants Program. Shoutout to @aquietinvestor for all his work bringing this program to fruition!

As we begin organizing our work, we want to make sure we’re aligned with community expectations. Below are the core responsibilities we’ll be managing. We’d greatly appreciate any feedback on how you’d like us to approach these tasks, or any suggestions and concerns you think we should keep in mind.

Quarterly Publication of Grant Schedules

Each quarter we’ll post the grant cycle timeline, including submission windows, review periods, and voting dates across the forums, GitHub, and social channels.

  • Is there anything specific you’d like included to make these updates clearer or more useful?

Submission Intake & Public Visibility

We’ll handle proposal intake via GitHub, prepare concise summaries, and ensure every proposal is easy for the community to find and follow.

  • How would you like proposal information to be organized or presented?

Proposal Vetting & Compliance Screening

Keyholders will conduct legal/regulatory screening and FPF will perform KYC checks when required (over $50,000 USD as per the ZIP).

  • Are there transparency or communication practices you’d like to see around this stage?

Communications & Voting Readiness

We’ll coordinate communications so that coinholders can vote knowledgeably and confidently, and applicants are kept informed about the status of their proposals.

  • What formats or channels would help you stay most informed?

Voting Infrastructure Support

We’ll assist @aquietinvestor in running the quarterly voting infrastructure.

Transparency, Reporting & the Dashboard

We’ll maintain the public Coinholder Grants Dashboard, publish summary statistics, and provide ongoing reporting.

  • What types of additional data or reporting would be most meaningful for you?

We’re committed to making this process smooth, transparent, and genuinely community-driven. Your input is essential, and we’re listening.

Please share your thoughts below, everything helps. Thanks again for your trust and collaboration.
