Consequences of non-anonymous transactions

You folks see this article about Coinbase selling customer info and transaction data to ICE?

This is not a business model I would support. Just another example of why people should be using shielded Zcash transactions instead. At least it would break part of the surveillance model.

When asked about the ICE contract and the data involved, Coinbase spokesperson Natasha LaBranche directed The Intercept to a disclaimer on its website stating “Coinbase Tracer sources its information from public sources and does not make use of Coinbase user data.”
