what do you mean by DC and QC?
DC dual core QC quad core
FX 8350 is octa core, i7s are quadra cores but with 8 threads, it still doesn’t make much sense, he’d be better of specifying -t for each cpu
21.5 Sol/s on a i7 3770 with 5 cores active (6 cores gives just 0.5 more, so not worthy).
16 sol/s on I7 3612QM
Dual channel , quad channel memory
I am. For the desktops I settled on (not counting my mistakes), I’m beating all the GPUs on initial and electrical costs (when comparing Ebay prices). I got 0.15 ZEC yesterday on a Lowes shelf of desktops behind my couch running nheqminer 0.1c (xenoncat’s solver). 700 Sol/s indicates the pool paid out correctly. I use two 24 port switches and two electrical outlets. They boot into the miner which I installed with a script via SSH, which I need to make into a single command with parallel-SSH.
If the right government surplus came up, you could do 1,000 Sol/s for $2000 at 2,000 Watts. Maybe with a USB stick you don’t need a hard drive.
But I don’t recommend anyone do what I’m doing because GPUs will continue to receive developer support despite the electrical cost penalties from trying to use GPUs on a sorting algorithm.
Is xenoncat’s based on tromp’s? I mean has there been only 1 or 2 CPU developers verses 10 GPU developers? If CPUs continue to win, ZEC price could be driven very high from individual laptops running a miner without any concern for electrical costs.
Can you provide a screenshot for that Radeon 7850 2gb mining…?
I’m interested too, because I’m getting 8.02 …
The setup is kinda pathetic : Win-7 64 bit + 2gb ram + 7850 2gb … but still … 25 !
If you don’t believe me check the Genoil thread.
What attributes are you using ?
i5 4590 - 8GB -16-19 sol/s
edit: nheqminer_v0.2a_suprnova
Intel i7-4790K @4.00 GHZ = 21 sol/s
Xeon E3 1271V3 @3.8 Ghz - 18-19 sol/s
ALL running on STOCK and ALL THREADS
E5 2650 v3 *2 50+ H/s
Opteron 6320 *2 20+ H/s
E5 2420 v2 *2 10+H/s
what do you use in your .bat i can’t get my 7870 over 14sols/s
37 sol/s with an i7-5930k @ 4.0ghz using Nicehash miner… what CPU miner are you all using?
Stock settings
…
Use 16.10 Amd drivers
Desktops on two 24 port switches:
1 x 25 Sol/s on i7-3770, 80 W, $210
10x 21 Sol/s on i7-2600, 100 Watt, $160
30x 17 Sol/s, i5, 50 Watts, $150
750 sol/s, 2600 Watts, $6300
(but I made expensive mistakes that cost more. I do not recommend anyone try this since GPUs should pull ahead soon and dealing with used desktops is a lot of work)
My network hiccups bring it down to 700 Sol/s on nanopool. 0.15 ZEC yesterday.
nheqminer xenoncat with 10 threads on 1st two and 5 threads on the 30x. Linux Ubuntu
