This week, we opened access to a portal that connects anyone who values financial privacy with the rest of the world. NEAR Intents provides the portal. Zashi provides the gateway. Science fiction, brought to life.
Zashi CrossPay allows you to pay someone in the currency of their choice, using your shielded ZEC. The recipient receives the exact amount of the currency they desire, while you keep your balance and transaction history private. It’s easy and only takes a couple of clicks.
It has been ECC’s ambition to catapult Zcash “across the chasm.” I shared that strategic focus in 2024, and we’re accomplishing it. @artkor wrote an article earlier this year that describes “the chasm” and strategies for driving mainstream adoption. Today, we have made ZEC easy to use, are aligning with market momentum, and delivering differentiated value.
Stablecoins have already crossed the chasm, driving trillions in global transactions. They, along with other cryptocurrencies, will be used pervasively, globally. We will ride that tide with an interoperable user experience that offers you control and security of your money. Power in your hands to live freely.
We have built and will continue to evolve Zashi to deliver ZEC to the mainstream. You are onboarding the world with your stories, driving adoption, and using your voice to reach the unaware.
Together, we are unstoppable.
Here’s what we did to cross the chasm this week:
