To continue this work, we ask ZEC holders to support our $2.67M retroactive grant for work delivered from December 2024 to June 2025. We have documented our efforts and outcomes and submitted a retroactive grant application along with a supporting presentation for consideration by ZEC holders.

Here’s how we innovated this week:

Zashi

Over $2 million in ZEC has already been swapped or paid through Zashi since its launch, averaging 1,180 ZEC swaps and 173 transactions sent per day via CrossPay.

What we did:

  • Heavy cross-team testing of Swap to ZEC.

  • Implemented Swap Detail and transaction history UI updates.

  • Implemented Mempool Detection for ZEC receipt to improve the UX.

  • Adopted changes for confirmation configurability from the Core Team.

  • Created a new product design process and integrated our tools to streamline our workflow.

What’s up next:

  • Finalize testing and bug fixing of the Swap to ZEC feature and release to production! :rocket:

  • Continue reviewing & finalizing all open designs, and progressing with candidate features: transparent address rotation, Ledger support, duress/decoy wallet, multi-account, & home button personalization. :sparkles:

iOS Analytics

  • Unique Installs: 10.7k

Android Analytics

  • Total Install Base: 4.18k

Zcash Core

What we did:

  • Significant progress on zcash_script refactoring; the end is in sight!

  • Resolved a librustzcash bug detecting funds.

  • Finished integration of P2SH multisig support into zcash-devtool

What’s up next:

  • Perform the ceremony to generate the Mainnet lockbox disbursement address.

  • Release Zcashd supporting NU6.1 on Mainnet.

  • Prepare draft ZIPs for NU7: Quantum Resilience, Key Rotation, Ongoing Lockbox Disbursement.

  • Support transparent key rotation for swaps and Coinbase.

  • Respond to feedback on the Zallet alpha.

Other:

Paul and I attended the annual Coin Center dinner and spent some ZEC via Payy.

Coordination for Zcash’s participation in Dark Prague.

DC Privacy Summit planning.

ECC is killing it with Zashi and all the other efforts @joshs, I’ll vote for the retroactive grant proposal. The show must go on :slightly_smiling_face:

how does one know how much was swapped via zashi?

Not sure about the “through Zashi” part. I guess since they provide the quote, they have this logged.

so currently Zashi swaps only in Near not Maya. but each swap has little fee added, so thanks to that its possible to know the volume i would think.

Could CrossPay be one of the reasons for Zcash’s rising value? I believe it’s increasing Zcash’s adoption. It’s an excellent feature and an excellent innovation that will help Zcash gain even more recognition. Zcash has everything it needs to grow even further.
