ZCASH Genoil Miner

helpleasee @???

what processor do you have? I have 16.10.3 drivers. I also don’t know if -P 0 1 is correct? I thought that was the platform id and not GPU device id’s

@bitm3coin

I’m seriously undercutting nheqminer of nicehash, but wanted to try Genoil to see if the speed of my r9 380 were more stable

R9 290X R7 370 helpppppp!

You did not respond with your CPU. You gave me 2 video cards, that is not the problem.

0.4 version is working on one of my machines where IIRC it was crashing with 0.3.2. Still crashes on my main rig with 6x 480s. I tried to clone the drive, but it had the same issue so it must be hardware related. It’s working on B150 motherboard w/ i5 6600k and crashing on Z97 w/ Celeron 1840, if that has anything to do with it.

Both boards are using the same GPUs with USB risers, and are running W10 x64 with 16.9 drivers.

amd athlon x3 445 CPU

The celeron processor do NOT work with GENOIL .4 right now. That is the problem.

finally someone is on the route to find the problem. ! Good to know. I might get an i3 to check my rigs. IF works then need to upgrade freaking everything. ! lol a lot of Gxxxx processors are going to be on market for cheap because of “this”

The AMD athalon x3 445 does NOT work with GENOIL .4 right now. It has to be a AVX CPU. We are hoping Genoil will find a fix soon.

Damn was trying to figure out the issue for the past few hours and it looks like that is about when the AVX theory finally surfaced.

Tried makes no difference at all. This miner never worked for me since day one it coming out exits n closes or now with 0 reported hash.

Yea it gotta be the AVX extension , as I cloned the ssd from this pc (i7 + rx470) to the miner (g1840 + rx470) and genoil miner gave the same error.

I’m 99% positive it’s this. We have over 20 people confirming in the last hour they had celerons or older CPUS’s that were failing.

yep and rjg used intel’s SDE to make it run but as he said it was sluggish.

when you will come out claymore?

you mean genoil ? ;p

A quick rundown of what I’ve seen/fixed so far…using genoil-zec-miner-0.4

.bat: genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u Xardas.PC -p x
pause

Cards:
R9 380<-------works @ 22-27 Sol/s
RX480<-------works @ 25-32 Sol/s
R9 270x<------doesn’t work

CPUs:
4770k<-------works @ 19-21 Sol/s using nheqminer_v0.2a_suprnova or nheqminer_v0.3a
Celeron 1840<---------doesn’t work

Any cards with the Celeron gives insta-crash
All cards with the 4770k work except for the 270x. Well the 270x works but at like .5 Sol/s.

Current test setup is doing ~ 100 Sol/s. Whole rig is mining on Suprnova.
4770k using nheqminer_v0.2a_suprnova .bat: nheqminer.exe -u Xardas.PC -p x -t 6
2xR9 380 and an RX 480 using genoil-zec-miner-0.4 .bat: genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u Xardas.PC -p x
pause

Second test rig is the Celeron and 270x(10-12 Sol/s) using nheqminer_v0.3a .bat:nheqminer -l usa -u 1N1tDayCxWDJhUUub99MY2W4dBf5fovieS -od 0 -t 1
