Surprisingly, claymore is working on a zec miner as well as of today.
That’s nice for people that like his miners , but I’ve been happy with genoils for a long time that’s why I am so excited about this.
I’ve read the GENOIL miner requires 2x instances of 1.7gb memory. I’m predicting, but not sure, that cards under 3GB are going to have a bad time on this GENOIL gpu miner.
it would be even greater if genoil could support older processor as well.
I don’t know what it is. I have tried this on two different rigs and it just shuts down right away. Does not even give me an error.
Using: genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u Username.Rig1 -p z

Have added the -P 0 -g 0 1 -i 13 also, but still shuts down.
Wait - my clock is screwed up. This happened on the other miner too. Always seems to change +7 hours. I think that would be UTC
Read through our comments, Genoil gpu miner will NOT work with Celeron’s. Or any non AVX or AVX cpu for now. It’s nothing you are doing wrong it just doesnt open unless you have an i3 or modern cpu.

It’s all good. Although he hasn’t been around for a couple of hours, I’m sure he is aware and is fixing the issue, it worked on older cpu’s on older versions. just not v.04
If I am running 5 RX480s on an h97 anniversary motherboard then what is the minimum CPU required to run genoi’ls miner if I GPU mine?

No, but performance sucks. 15sol/s on rx480 vs 25-30 on Genoil.
I have an ASRock Z77 Extreme6. So if I picked up a used i5 or similar then it would work? Or is the GPU HASHING speed tied to the quality of the CPU also?
